BLACKWELL, VIRGINIA W. Virginia Wade Blackwell, age 81, died February 22, 1992, at her home. She was born in Rockbridge County the daughter of the late Ollie T. and Betty Zimmerman Wade. She was the widow of William Ernest Blackwell. Surviving are one daughter Tillie Conner, Buena Vista; one son David Wade Blackwell, Lexington; one daughter-in-law, Mildred Wade, Lexington; two sisters Nell Mohler, Rockbridge Baths; Erma Sensabaugh, Lexington; one brother John Wade, Rockbridge Baths; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Bethesda Presbyterian Church by The Rev. David Dickerson. Burial will follow in the McElwee Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the Lomax Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to the Bethesda Presbyterian Church.
