COCKE, FRANCES L. Miss Frances Lee Cocke, age 90 of Roanoke, died in a Roanoke Hospital, Sunday afternoon. She was a native of Roanoke, the daughter of the late Harvey M. and Minnie H. Cocke. She was educated in the Roanoke City School Systems, the college of William and Mary, and the University of Virginia, and was a retired teacher. She was a member of the Virginia Retired Teacher's Association,the Baptist Women's Missionary Union, and a lifelong member of First Baptist Church. Surviving are two nephews and one niece, Clyde Cocke, N.Y.; Harmon Williams, Charlottesville; Mrs. E. B. (Sue) Cocke Thrasher Jr., Roanoke; ten great-nephews and nieces; nine great-great-nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be conducted at the graveside in Fairview Cemetery, 11:00 a.m. Tuesday by the Rev. John D. Cochran. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Easter Seal Society or to First Baptist Church. Thefamily will receive friends at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday.
