BRANSCOMB, ROBERT E., SR.

Mr. Robert E. Branscomb, Sr., age 76, passed away Sunday in Fort Pierce, Fla. He was born in Carroll County, Va., March 21, 1915, the son of the late Edmond Cabbell Branscomb and Diannah Hill Branscomb. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alice Louise Branscomb, Fort Pierce, Fla.; two daughters, Mrs. Lorraine Freeman, Hillsville; Mrs. Diane Gunning, Jacksonville, Fla.; two sons, Mr. Robert E. Branscomb, Jr., Mr. Mark A. Branscomb, both of Fort Pierce, Fla.; four sisters, Mrs. Kate Allen, Radford; Mrs. Ada Hundley, Mrs. Ruth Farmer, Ms. Delta Bolen, all of Hillsville; one brother, Mr. Arthur Branscomb, Salem; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandson also survive. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 27 at 2:00 p.m. at the Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with the Rev. Charles Mackey officiating. Interment will follow in the Good Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Funeral Chapel.
