SALEM'S HARRISON TOPS IN BLUE RIDGE

Salem's Shannon Harrison, a junior, is the Blue Ridge District volleyball player of the year and one of two Spartans on the first team.

Salem, which won the regular-season title, also placed Suzanne Wolfe on the first team. Lord Botetourt, which won the tournament, is represented by Kathy Harrison.

Lord Botetourt's June Whitlock was voted the district's coach of the year. The team was picked by a vote of the district coaches.
