FATHER PLEADS GUILTY TO GIVING BOY TATTOO
A Clarke County man who held down his 7-year-old son while his brother gave the boy a painful tattoo pleaded guilty to unlawful wounding Tuesday.Under the terms of a plea agreement, William Joseph "Willie" Dennison, 29, would be sentenced to a year in prison and put on probation for three years. The probation would expire when Dennison came up with enough money to pay a plastic surgeon to remove the tattoo.
But Circuit Judge James Berry took no action on the plea agreement Tuesday and postponed sentencing until April 7. Berry said, "I do not think the defendant should be able to buy his way out of probation."
