ELLIS, MARY E.

Mrs. Mary Eunice Ellis, age 90, of Roanoke died Tuesday in a Salem hospital. She was the widow of Ferris A. Ellis. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph F. Ellis (Katherine) of Marion; George A. Ellis, Sr. (Fannie) of Roanoke; five daughters, Sister Christine Ellis, S.C.N. of Louisville, Ky.; Josphine M. Ellis of Roanoke; two daughters and sons-in-laws, Cecelia E. Carter (Melvin); Theresa E. Clements (Emanuel); Dorothy E. Willis, all of Roanoke; two sisters, Elizabeth Assaid of Roanoke; Virginia Mullins of Salem; two brothers, Joseph Eunice and Andrew Eunice, both of Roanoke; ten grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren. A liturgical prayer service will be at Oakey's North Chapel 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 27, 1992. Funeral mass will be at St. Elias Catholic Church 11:00 a.m. Friday , February 28, 1992 with the Rev. Msgr. Assad Awad officiating. Interment will be in St. Andrews Cemetery. Friends may call at Oakey's North Chapel after 2:00 p.m. Thursday.
