TEAM III CHIEF HELPING COPE

Crew chief Barry Dodson, struggling to keep alive the financially troubled Team III Racing team in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series, will serve as interim crew chief this weekend at Rockingham, N.C., for Derrike Cope in the wake of the resignation of crew chief Doug Williams on Monday, Cope's team announced.

Meanwhile, Dirt Devil vacuums, which canceled its sponsorship of Team III this month, has agreed to sponsor the Grand National car of Kenny Wallace, a Dirt Devil spokeswoman said.
