SANFORD, ETHEL G.

PULASKI - Ethel Gilbert Sanford (Mrs. Harry E. Sanford), age 92, of 523 North Jefferson Avenue, died Thursday, February 27, 1992 in Pulaski Community Hospital. Born in Swords Creek, Va. November 16, 1899, she was the daughter of the late John Dobbin Gilbert and Mary Katherine Miller. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and was a life member of the Bluefield, Va. Chapter of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry E. Sanford. She is survived by one son, David L. Sanford, Sr., Frostburg, Md.; one daughter, Mrs. Dennis (Pattye) Landis, Pulaski; seven grandchildren, David Landis, McLean, Va.; Kathy Raykes, Pulaski; Jeanne Landis, Radford; Sandi Howard, Palatka, Fla.; David L. Sanford, Jr., Frostburg, Md.; Tracey Sanford, Point of Rocks, Md.; Elizabeth Sanford, Frederick, Md.; eleven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. from Thomas M. Seagle & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Bethune officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call anytime after 9:00 a.m. Saturday and the family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral time at 2:00 p.m. at Thomas M. Seagle & Sons Funeral Home.
