CHILD-CARE WORKSHOP PLANNED IN RADFORD
Today is the deadline to register for a Thursday workshop on quality child care to be held at the Radford Best Western Inn on Tyler Avenue.
Sue Bredekamp, director of professional development for the National Association for the Education of Young Children, will lead the workshop.
It begins at 10:30 a.m. with check-in, followed by an overview of program accreditation. After a buffet lunch, Bredekamp will discuss "Developmentally Appropriate Practice and Curriculum in Programs for Young Children."
The workshop, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club, ends at 2:30 p.m. Advance registration is required. There is a $12 fee, which includes lunch.
