Anita Hill says black women are less likely than white women to report sexual harassment because of a racist attitude that they are sexually aggressive.

Black women "are more likely to try to cope," the University of Oklahoma law professor said Wednesday during a West Virginia University law symposium. She accepted an award for courage from the WVU Center for Women's Studies in Morgantown.

Last year, Hill accused Supreme Court nominee Clarence Thomas of sexually harassing her 10 years earlier while the two worked at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Thomas was confirmed despite the charges. Hill since has given numerous speeches on sexual harassment.

\ Travis Tritt will become the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry cast Saturday night.

Tritt, 29, was a Grammy finalist Tuesday for his hit song "Here's a Quarter (Call Someone Who Cares)." His albums, "Country Club" and "It's All About to Change," have sold more than 1 million copies each.

Tritt joins a cast of about 60 on the Opry, a live country music show that has been presented since 1925.

\ Evelyn Ashford and Wilma Rudolph, Olympic gold medal sprinters, will toss specially imprinted plastic cups from a carriage in one of New Orleans glitziest Carnival parades on Saturday.

The cups are among the most sought-after trinkets thrown from parades to the throngs lining the street during Carnival season. Ashford and Rudolph will toss Olympic Trials cups.

The track stars are coming to New Orleans to film a promotional video for the 1992 U.S. Olympic track and field trials to be held in the city in June.

While in town, they'll join singer Kenny Rogers and former "Dallas" star Patrick Duffy in the Krewe of Endymion parade, which steps off from City Park on the Saturday before Mardi Gras.

\ Prince will donate the proceeds from sales of his next single, "Money Don't Matter 2 Night," to the United Negro College Fund, a spokesman said Thursday.

The single is scheduled for release Tuesday. An accompanying music video directed by Spike Lee will premier about the same time, Michael Pagnotta of Reach Media Relations Inc. said from New York.

"It is in keeping with the spirit and message of the song," Pagnotta said.

The single will be the fifth released from Prince's multiplatinum "Diamonds and Pearls" LP.

NBC's "Friday Night Videos" will dedicate tonight's program to Prince and his band, the New Power Generation.
