NICHOLS, JAMES E.

James Ezra Nichols, age 73 of Rt. 1, died Thursday, February 27, 1992. Surviving are his wife, Lelia M. Nichols; five daughters and sons-in-law, Joan and Charles Parcell of Rocky Mount; Berta and Richard Bowles of Rocky Mount; Hallie and Donnie Nichols of Redwood; Leona and Michael Abbott of Roanoke; Loraine and Huey King of Redwood; four sons and one daughter-in-law, Waymont and Ann Nichols of Rocky Mount; Jerry Nichols of Vinton; Robert Nichols of Boones Mill; and Todd Nichols of Roanoke; his former wife, Myrtle C. Nichols of Roanoke; six half sisters, four half brothers, seventeen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, seven stepchildren, thirteen stepgrandchildren and four stepgreat-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Sunday in Lynch Chapel by the Rev. Billy Shively. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Friends may call at Lynch Funeral Home, Rocky Mount, after 2:00 p.m. Saturday where the family will be from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and other times at the residence.
