PUTMAN, CALVIS L., JR. SMITH MOUNTAIN LAKE - Calvis `'Lee" Putman, Jr., 60, of Smith Mountain Lake, died Friday, February 28, 1992, at Martinsville Memorial Hospital. He was born September 4, 1931 in Danville, Virginia to the late Calvis Lee Putman, Sr. and Patty Martin Putman. He was employed by Tultex as Supervisor over Screen Print with 30 years service and was a charter member of First Presbyterian Church of Collinsville. He is survived by his wife, Betty Stafford Putman, Smith Mountain Lake; two daughters, Debbie Kay Putman, Smith Mountain Lake; and Lisa Ann Putman of Martinsville; one son, Richard Lee Putnam of Moneta; and one brother, James J. Putman of Charlotte, North Carolina. Services will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Collins Funeral Chapel in Bassett. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Collins Funeral Home, Bassett.
