CHAUTAUQUA FESTIVAL CONTEST RULES AVAILABLE

Guidelines for entering the eighth annual Chautauqua Festival Creative Writing Contest are now available from the contest committee.

They can be obtained by writing to Creative Writing Contest, Wytheville Chautauqua Festival, P.O. Box 963, Wytheville, Va. 24382.

Connie Moore, committee chairwoman, said the contest is open to amateur writers in three categories: short story (under 5,000 words), essay (under 2,000 words) and poetry (under 50 lines).

Three prizes will be awarded in each category. - Southwest bureau
