GARRETSON, JOSEPH E, II MARION - Mr. Joseph Earl Garretson, II, age 51, died Monday, March 2, 1992 in Bristol Regional Medical Center. He attended Eastern Kentucky State University and was a member of the Holston Valley H.E.L.P. Association, a Civil Defense Instructor and had managed several local businesses including service stations, motels and restaurants. Mr. Garretson was a member of the First United Methodist Church where he served as head usher. He was preceded in death by his mother, Edith M. Garretson. He is survived by his father, Joseph S. Garretson of Marion; one sister and brother-in-law, Laura Etta and James C. Wilkinson of Chilhowie; one niece and nephew, Rebecca and Brian Wilkinson; one uncle, Ray McNeil of Indianapolis, Ind.; one aunt, Juanita Britton of Ohio. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 4, 1992 at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. J. N. Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church on hour before the service. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Marion Life Saving Crew or the First United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
