UNITED WAY SHOULD HAVE PULLED OUT

HEADLINE Feb. 24: "United Way will delay dues." My feeling is this should have read: "United Way cancels membership."

One percent of $4.6 million raised last year - $44,000 dues? Robert Kulinski [president of the United Way of Roanoke Valley] tells us what the benefits are, but what did the local United Way actually get?

Seems to me this is Robin Hood in reverse! Take from the poor and give to [United Way of America President Richard] Aramony and his merry thieves!
