Betty Jane Brammer Barber, age 59 of Roanoke, died Thursday at a local hospital. She was the widow of James A. Barber and a member of First Baptist Church. She was an employee of WRIC TV in Richmond. Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Vicky B. and Bobbie S. Slayton, Roanoke; Brenda B. and Jack Finley, Montgomery Co.; sons and daughter-in-law, William A. Barber, James Roger and Diane Barber, Vinton; mother, Nellie V. Brammer, Roanoke; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Sandra Thacker, Alabama; brothers, Carlton Brammer, Roanoke; Ted Brammer, S.C.; Charles Brammer, Union Hall; David Brammer, Roanoke. Services will be at 12:00 noon Monday at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel with the Rev. John D. Cochran officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke.
