Nannie Mae Reece East, age 89, died Friday, March 6, 1992 at Montgomery Regional Hospital. Mrs. East was born in Blacksburg, Va. on July 25, 1902 to the late Arthur Reece, Sr. and Sarah Cox Reece. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis M. East. Surviving are three daughters, Rebecca E. Adkins, Christiansburg; Helen E. Hemetek, Ravenswood, W.Va.; Virginia East, Blacksburg; three sons, Herbert East, Ravenswood, W.Va.; David East, Christiansburg; Johnathan East, Blacksburg; one daughter-in-law, Rita East, Roanoke; one sister, Evelyn McPhearson, Princeton, N.C.; one brother, Arthur Reece, Herndon, Va.; sixteen grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Sunday, March 8, 1:00 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Roy Quesenberry will officiate. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery.
