OBIT BEATTY, M.

Madeline Jones Beatty, age 68 of 2908 Lofton Road, S.W., died Saturday, March 7, 1992 in a local hospital. She was a member of First Church of the Brethren for over 45 years. Surviving are her husband, J. Preston Beatty; daughter, Sandra C. Koerner, Roanoke, son, James Terry Beatty, Kingwood, Texas; grandson, Scott R. Cunningham, Roanoke; granddaughter, Terri C. Deline, Ormond Beach, Fla. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to First Church of the Brethren or the American Cancer Society. Services will be at 3:00 p.m. Monday, March 9, 1992 at Oakey's South Chapel with the Rev. Michael D. Chandler and the Rev. Paul E. Alwine officiating. Entombment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday at Oakey's South Chapel.
