W. CAROLINA DROPS VMI IN BASEBALL

Western Carolina scored five runs in the fifth inning and rallied for a 7-4 Southern Conference baseball victory over VMI on Saturday.

The game was interrupted by two lengthy rain delays and called after seven innings because of darkness.

Trailing 3-1, WCU came back with the help of Joey Cox's two-run single.
