OAK LEVEL SPEEDWAY MEETING DRAWS INTEREST

More than 65 drivers, car owners and others attended a meeting for the new Oak Level Speedway on Saturday afternoon.

The 3/8-mile dirt track, last operated in 1979 as Henry County Raceway, is undergoing extensive renovation in preparation for its opening the first of May.

Tim Willis, owner and promoter, distributed rules for the three divisions of competition including Sportsman, Street Stock and Mini Stock. Lights are being added to the track, which has been regraded and widened. - Staff report
