HAILSTORM HITS FRANKLIN COUNTY

A severe hailstorm hit Franklin County late Saturday afternoon, knocking down some trees and causing a few mud slides.

"It beat us to death," said a dispatcher for the Franklin County Sheriff's Office.

State highway workers were called out to remove mud and trees from the roads, he said, but no structural damage was reported.
