Mrs. Virginia Buchanan White, of Roanoke, died at her residence early Tuesday morning, March 10, 1992. She was the widow of William Ashby White; a member of First Presbyterian Church and a retired school teacher in the Roanoke County School System. Surviving are one son, William A. White, Jr., Roanoke; one brother, Roy J. Buchanan, Bluefield, W.Va.; two sisters, Nell Buchanan De Lozier, Sopchoppy, Fla.; and Dorothy Buchanan Liss, Bramwell, W.Va. Funeral services will be conducted at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, 12:00 noon Thursday by the Rev. Maurita Wiggins and the Rev. James A. Beverley. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Bedford, Va. at 1:30 p.m. Thursday. The family suggests memorials be made to the Ronald McDonald House. The family will receive friends at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday.
