Margaret Hartless Russ, age 87, died Monday, March 9, 1992 in Stonewall Jackson Hospital, Lexington. She was born in Rockbridge County July 14, 1904, the daughter of the late Ed and Jenny Phillips Hartless. She was a long time member of the Lexington Presbyterian Church and attended the Buena Vista Baptist Church. She is survived by one daughter, Odessa Milburn; three sons and daughters-in-law, Horace E. (Buck) and Fannie Russ, Clinton and Nita Russ, all of Buena Vista; Freeman and Sarah Russ, Bradenton, Fla.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from the Lomax Funeral Chapel on Thursday, March 12, at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Randolph Harrison and Dr. Chip Pendleton officiating. Burial will follow in Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Lomax Funeral Home.
