Mrs. Vassie Williams Booe, age 92, of 257 Strickney Ave., Winston-Salem, N.C., died Monday night, March 9, 1992, at her home. She was born March 21, 1899, in Rockingham County to Walter and Martha Webster Williams. Mrs. Booe was a member of the 109 Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. L. C. Booe, Sr.; three children, Pearl Mickey, Joe Booe and Baby Booe. Surviving are six sons and daughters-in-law, Irvin (Buck) D. Booe, Sr. and Dorothy, of Winston-Salem, N.C.; Luther (Rock) C. Booe, Jr. and Dorothy, of Clemmons, N.C.; Clifton and Frances Booe of Roanoke; Alton and Phyllis Booe of King, N.C.; Jerry and Loretta Booe of Winston-Salem, N.C.; Gary and Linda Booe of Houston, Texas; five daughters and sons-in-law, Louise East of Calabash, N.C.; Margaret Johnson of Lexington, N.C.; Emma Lee and Jim Caudle of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Nancy and Don Worrell of Germanton, N.C.; Martha and James Carroll of Murphy, N.C.; 38 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; 33 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, Winston-Salem, N.C., by Mr. Alton Christie and Mr. Herbert Hine. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Winston-Salem, N.C. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
