EARTH VISIONS

As part of its 150th anniversary celebration, Roanoke College is sponsoring this three-day event to promote environmental awareness. Registration is required at most lectures. 375-2333.

THURSDAY: 11:15 a.m., Antrim Chapel, the Rev. John Schramm, former director of Holden Village Retreat Center in Chelan, Wash., delivers convocation, "The Earth is the Lord's and the Fullness Therein." At 7:30 p.m., consumer advocate Ralph Nader presents "Earth Visions: The Citizens' Strategies to Sustain our Environment" with a responding panel.

MARCH 20: 6:30 p.m., Sutton Student Center, public seminar "Take Action!" with Pete Castelli, of the Citizen's Clearinghouse for Hazardous Waste-Appalachia. At 8 p.m., video "Spaceship Earth" examines Earth's environmental journey and individuals' commitments to it. Following video, Blues Traveler appears for a concert of jazz, R&B, rock and funk; $10.
