VETERAN ADMAN IS BACK IN MARKETING

Cecil Edmonds, a veteran Roanoke Valley advertising executive who has worked the past four years on a health-information venture, said Thursday he's returning to his old field with a new business.

Edmonds said he has opened Marketing Assignment Partners, an advertising and public relations agency, on a project-fee basis. The office is at 15-A Franklin Road S.W., Roanoke, with affiliates in Richmond, Radford, Lynchburg and Elmira, N.Y.

Edmonds was a founder and creative director of Edmonds Packett Group of Roanoke for more than 20 years before he sold his interest in the agency. - Staff report
