Luther Elmer Cline, age 77, of Route 2, the Groseclose Community, died Thursday evening in the Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon. Surviving are five sisters, Mae C. Hedrick, Myrtle C. Copenhaver, both of Rural Retreat; Grace C. Price and Aliene C. Buck, both of Atkins; Mary C. Morris of Glasgo, W.Va.; two brothers, Edward Cline of Rural Retreat and Garland Cline of Atkins; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday from the Lindsey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Grady Byrd officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Marion. The family sincerely request that memorials be made to the Rural Retreat Emergency Service or the Rural Retreat Volunteer Fire Department. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home or the residences of his brothers and sisters anytime.
