BLACKSBURG - Marine Criner, age 77, died Saturday, March 14, 1992 at her home. She was born at Newport, Virginia on February 4, 1915, to the late Crockett and Laura Barnett Criner, and was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Brown Criner. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Phillip L. (Dorine) Martin, and Lois Caldwell, both of Blacksburg; three sons and daughters-in-law, Lawrence (Doug) and Kathleen Criner, Blacksburg; Wallace D. (Crow) and Joe Ann Criner and Donald B. Criner, all of Christiansburg; one sister, Eva Lee Jennings, Roanoke; three halfsisters, Hazel Criner, Rich Creek; Lorraine Criner and Joyce Criner, both of Pearisburg; one brother, James W. (Bill) Criner, Blacksburg; one halfbrother, Samuel Criner, Hillsville; fourteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one stepgranddaughter; two stepgreat-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Monday, March 16, 2:00 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Dale Bailey and the Rev. Jerry Sloss will officiate. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to New River Valley Hospice, Inc. 1806 Price's Fork Road, Blacksburg, Va. 24060. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
