OBIT - MUSSELMAN, E.
Emory Eldridge Musselman, age 86, died Monday, March 16, 1992, in the
Richfield Nursing Center in Salem. Mr. Musselman was a member of the Mt.
Calvary Baptist Church having served as both a Deacon and Superintendent of
the Sunday Schools. He was one of the founders and organizers of the Alleghany
District Rescue Squad having donated the land where the squad building stands.
He served many years as President of the squad and was a longtime active
member and leader. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Moles
Musselman. He is survived by seven children, Elizabeth Marsico, Tavares, Fla.;
Curtis Musselman, Emory E. Musselman, Jr., both of Shawsville; Marie Lee,
Danny Musselman, both of Salem; Kenneth Musselman, Charleston, S.C.; Cathern
King, Check, Va.; a sister-in-law, Cora Moles Musselman, Vinton; 16
grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m.
Thursday from the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by the Rev.
Richard H. Horne. Interment will follow in the Den Hill Cemetery. The family
request that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Alleghany District
Rescue Squad, Shawsville, Va. 24162. The family will receive friends from 7:00
until 9:00 Wednesday evening at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home,
Christiansburg.
