OBIT - COOPER, J.

Mr. Joe Price Cooper, age 72, died Monday in the Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Roberts Chapel United Methodist Church, a retired employee of Peoples Life Ins. Co. and a member of the Saltville/Rich Valley Lions Club. Surviving are his wife, Vivian H. Cooper, Saltville, Va.; one son, Alan H. Cooper, Richmond, Va.; one daughter, Judith VanWinkle, Bedford, Va.; two brothers, Ernest Cooper, Johnson City, Tenn.; Donald Cooper, Bluefield, Va.; one sister, Gray Coleman, Nancy, Ky.; three grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Roberts Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Rick Thomas, Rev. Claude Oliver, and Rev. Luther Watson officiating. Burial will follow in the Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at the D. R. Henderson Funeral Home in Saltville, Va.
