Paul W. Jones, II, age 66, of Roanoke, died Tuesday morning in a local hospital. He was a Marine Veteran of World War II and a past Chairman and active member of the Board of the Salvation Army. Mr. Jones was the founder and President of Wen-Don Corporation and operated the business for the last 35 years. He was a member of the Lakeland Masonic Lodge in Roanoke, Va., a past member of the Kiwanis Club and served on the Roanoke College Advisory Board. Surviving are his wife, Jean H. Jones; four sons and daughters-in-law, Paul W. and Linda O. Jones, III, Donald E. and Karen V. Jones, all of Roanoke; Charles W. and Ruth C. Jones of Birmingham, Ala.; and Bryan D. and Lee A. Jones of Roanoke; daughter and son-in-law, Jill J. and Keith Allen of Roanoke; ten grandchildren; three brothers, Earl T. Jones of Welch, W.Va; Harry A. Jones of Columbia, Md.; Richard L. Jones of Marion, S.C.; four sisters, Evelyn Herndon of Waynesboro, Va.; Mary Sholtis of Falls Church, Va.; Helen Ames of Salem; Martha Thurston of Waynesboro; also a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Oakey's South Chapel 1:00 p.m. Friday with Captain H. Dean Hinson officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday at Oakey's South Chapel.
