HUBBELL COMBINES 3 OF ITS COMPANIES

Hubbell Inc. has announced the combining of three companies to form Hubbell Lighting Inc. as a subsidiary.

Hubbell Lighting Inc., headquartered in Christiansburg, is the second-largest operating unit of Hubbell Inc., an international manufacturer of commercial and industrial lighting.

"The trend in the industry today is away from the multiple, specialized suppliers of the past, and toward large, full-line manufacturers able to meet the diversity of customer application requirements," Wesson Brown, vice president and general manager for Hubbell Lighting Inc., said in a company statement.

Companies combined into Hubbell Lighting Inc. were Hubbell Lighting Division, Harvey Hubbell Lighting Inc. and Marvin Electric Manufacturing Co. Inc.
