OBIT MULLINS, GEORGE E., ("ERT")
MULLINS, George E., ("Ert"), 79, of Roanoke, died Sunday, February 28, 1993. He was a member of Melrose Christian Church, was a retired employee of the N & W Railway with 40 years of service and was a member of Knights of Pythias, Osceola Lodge No. 47. He is survived by his wife, Mary Stanley Mullins; one daughter and son-in-law, Sheila D. Smith and husband, Dan Smith, Churchill, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Dawn Pruitt, Dixie and Adam Smith; one great-grandchild; three brothers, E. L. , G. G. and D. C. Mullins, all of Roanoke; four sisters, Christine Hoover, Justice, Ill., Ruth M. Beard, Edith Sarver, and Barbara Poff, all of Roanoke; Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, with the Rev. Terry Willis officiating. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
