OBIT NEWCOMB, NANCY LOUISE KERN

NEWCOMB, Nancy Louise Kern, 73, of Eagle Rock, died Sunday morning, February 28, 1993, at her home. She was the widow of William (Bub) Newcomb and is survived by one son, Roger W. Newcomb of Troutville; three daughters and sons-in-law, Grace and Claude Mundy of Eagle Rock, Margie and Thomas Watts of Daleville, Helen and Larry Camper of Lakeland, Fla.; two brothers, Aubrey Kern and Jerry Kern, both of Eagle Rock; three sisters, Beatrice Thomas of Roanoke, Nadine Bowers of Eagle Rock, and Betty McCullough of Natural Bridge; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, three special people, Eva All, Dovie Bryant, and Ada Alexander, all of Eagle Rock. The family will receive friends Monday night from 7 to 9 at the funeral home. Funeral will be Tuesday, March 2, at 11 a.m. in the Mt. Carmel Church conducted by the Rev. Mark Abbey. Burial will be in the Mays Cemetery. Arrangements by the Eagle Rock Funeral Home.
