OBIT WALKER, GARY JACKSON
WALKER, Gary Jackson, 43, of Crozet, died Friday, February 26, 1993 in a
Lynchburg nursing home. Born in Thomaston, Ga. on May 20, 1949, he was the son
of Alma Matthews Wagner and the late Jack Walker. Mr. Walker worked in the
Systems Control Division of the University of Virginia Facilities Management
Department. He was the chairman of the Employee Council. He was a member of
Crozet Baptist Church. In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife,
Jacqueline King Walker of Crozet; one son, Gary Dean Walker of Roanoke;
stepson, Chuck Seal of Crozet; stepdaughter, Donita Sue Seal of
Charlottesville; and his brother, Charles Franklin Walker of Troy. Graveside
funeral services were held 3 p.m. Sunday in Riverview Cemetery with Dr. Roy S.
Thomas III officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the
Diabetes Association of Virginia, 404 8th St., N.E., Suite C, Charlottesville,
Va. 22902. Teague Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
