Because of a reporter's error, a Feb. 22 story incorrectly said the Virginia Association of Volunteer Rescue Squads will honor six Virginia rescue squad members, three of them Roanokers, who had died while on duty. Actually, only three of those being honored are Virginians; none of them was a Roanoker.

Because of a reporter's error, a story in Friday's newspaper gave the incorrect ranking of Roanoke among the state's 136 school systems. Roanoke is the 15th-largest school system in the state.

Because of a reporter's error, the scoring for the Cave Spring in the Franklin County girls basketball game in the Roanoke Valley District tournament was wrong in Sunday's paper. The correct scoring should read Allison Beightol 8, Aimee Beightol 9, Kim Stewart 17, Sallie Cadwell 6, Leah Daigle 8, Amy Athey 12, Cheryl Rhodes 3, Kelly Dierker 10.
