OBIT DOWDY, RONALD ROGER

DOWDY, Ronald Roger, 52, of Coral Springs, Fla., formerly of Pembroke, Va., died Friday, February 26, 1993 in a Coral Springs hospital. Born in Kire, Giles County, Va. on July 6, 1940, he was a son of Daisy Martin Dowdy of Galax, Va. and the late Gilbert Dowdy. Surviving are his wife, Cathy Dowdy; two brothers, Jeff Dowdy, Alexandria, Va., and Marty Dowdy, Galax; one sister, Kay D. Brown, Deerwood, Md. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, New River Ward, Pembroke with Elder Bobby Wilburn officiating. Burial will be in the Kire Community Cemetery in Giles Co. Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke is in charge of arrangements. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Ronnie Dowdy Liver Foundation at 2850 Forest Hill Blvd., Apt. 212, Coral Springs, Fla. 33065.
