PEMBROKE COMPANY RATED BY VOLVO-GM
Patrick Enterprises Corp. in Pembroke recently received an A-level assessment rating from Volvo-GM Heavy Truck Corp. in the Quality Requirements Program.Paul B. Collins, president, called it a major accomplishment, "truly the result of a team effort from production, administrative and management personnel."
The program incorporates all aspects of business into a quality program, including safety, productivity, process control, shipping and statistical analysis.
Patrick Enterprises is a 9-year-old job shop providing machined, fabricated and welded products to industries in Virginia, North Carolina, Ohio and West Virginia.
The company's return rate as a result of poor quality fell from nearly 5 percent to 2/10 of 1 percent in the past two years.
