BUSINESS LICENSE FEES MAY BE REVISED
Pulaski Town Council agreed Tuesday to consider revising the town's business license fees.W.H. "Rocky" Schrader, Finance Committee chairman, said the existing 1964 business license schedule is hard to administer and interpret because its categories are not well-defined.
The proposed new schedule, on which a public hearing will be held March 16, would establish six broad categories: contracting; retail sales; financial, real estate and professional; wholesale merchants; public service; personal and business services, and all other businesses not specifically listed or exempted.
Total annual revenue under the existing schedule is $194,177. Under the proposed schedule, it is estimated at $196,516.
