OBIT ROCHELLE, LYDIA CRAIGHILL

ROCHELLE, Lydia Craighill, 83, of Rockbridge Baths, died Tuesday, March 2, 1993, at the Stonewall Jackson Hospital, Lexington. Mrs. Rochelle was born June 21, 1909, in South Boston, a daughter of the late George Peyton and Cornelia Laird Craighill. She was a widow of Philip T. Rochelle, was a member of the Bethesda Presbyterian Church, and was a former dorm mother at Randolph-Macon Women's College, Lynchburg. She is survived by a daughter, Wistar Jobe, Woodberry Forest, Va.; a son, Peyton W. Rochelle, Lexington; a sister, Elizabeth Wickersham, and a brother, Lloyd Craighill, both of Rockbridge Baths; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A memorial service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, March 4, 1993, at the Bethesda Presbyterian Church in Rockbridge Baths with the Rev. David Dickerson officiating. Arrangements by the Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington.
