OBIT DAVIS, JOSEPH TURNER JR.

DAVIS, Joseph Turner Jr., 47, of Roanoke, died Tuesday, March 2, 1993. He was an employee of General Electric with 25 years service. Mr. Davis was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and the Professional Photographers Association. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Allen Davis. Surviving are his wife, Brenda F. Davis; three sons, Joseph Turner Davis III, Jared Tate Davis, David Allen Davis, all of Roanoke; three daughters, Laura Davis Myers, Italy, Jennifer Sue Booth and Martha Davis Girard, both of Roanoke; two stepdaughters, Jennifer L. Lambert, Jessica R. Lambert, both of Roanoke; parents, Joseph T. Sr. and Jeannette S. Davis, Rocky Mount; grandmother, Nellie Sue Stringer, Georgia; two brothers, John Mark Davis, Roanoke, Thomas White Davis, Rocky Mount; one sister, Rebecca Sue Beckett, Rocky Mount; two grandchildren, Caroline Renee Booth, Christopher Aaron Booth. Funeral services will be conducted 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Oakey's North Chapel with Bishop Robert E. Tonkinson Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Oakey's North Chapel.
