OBIT GIBSON, MYRTIE, DICKERSON

GIBSON, Myrtie, Dickerson 88, of Roanoke, died Wednesday, March 3, 1993 in a Roanoke hospital. She was a member of Parkway Wesleyan Church and was preceded in death by a grandson, Jim Bob Bowles. Surviving are her husband, Oscar Thomas Gibson; two daughters and sons-in-law, Naida and Ray Saunders, Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Millie and Bill Bowles, Salem; four sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and Joyce Gibson, Roanoke, Dick and Sue Gibson, Atlanta, Ga., Doug and Judy Gibson, Atlanta, Ga. and Jack and Marcia Gibson, Salem; son, Gene (Pete) Gibson, Roanoke; eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one brother, Harold Dickerson, Roanoke; two sisters, Margaret Bennett, Mrytle Beach, S.C. and Gladys Hudgins, Muncie, Ind. Funeral services will be at Oakey's North Chapel 10 a.m. Saturday, March 6, 1993, with the Rev. John W. Ott and the Rev. Ben Peyton officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Cemetery. The family suggest that memorial contributions be made to ARC, P.O. Box 6157, Roanoke, Va. 24017. Friends may call at Oakey's North Chapel.
