OBIT ATKINS, LUTHER F.

ATKINS, Luther F., 77, of Route 3, Rocky Mount, died Thursday, March 4, 1993, in the local hospital. He was born September 8, 1915, son of the late Charlie and Eliza Atkins. Mr. Atkins was preceded in death by one sister, Annie B. Thompson, three brothers, Robert Atkins, Hansford Atkins and Alonza Atkins. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Pearlie Quinn and Mrs. Elva Terry, both of Rocky Mount; also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at the graveside, Maple Grove Cemetery, 2 p.m. Saturday with Elder W. Lane Carter officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Flora Funeral Service, 342 S. Main St., Rocky Mount.
