OBIT KIRK, DORIS ARRINGTON

KIRK, Doris Arrington, 83, of Penhook, died Thursday, March 4, 1993 at Franklin Health Care. She was preceded in death by a sister, Daisy Hatchett and a brother, John Arrington. Surviving are her husband, Ollie Clinton Kirk; two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Debra Kirk, Rocky Mount, Carroll and Shirley Kirk, Bassett, five grandchildren, Stephannie Kirk, Jennifer Kirk, Jeff Kirk, Bruce Kirk and Steve Kirk; two sisters, Annie Kirk, Rocky Mount, Willie Law, Rocky Mount; one brother, Love Kirk, Penhook; a special friend, Gwen Board Phillips; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in Flora Funeral Chapel with the Rev. William K. Doss and the Rev. Brian Vaughan officiating. Interment will follow in the Kirk family cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9 p.m. Friday at Flora Funeral Service, 342 S. Main St., Rocky Mount.
