USE SALES TAX TO IMPROVE HEALTH CARE
IT WOULD be good if the country could afford full health care for all its citizens. But because of the national deficit, I believe taxes would be too much. It could take more than $150 a month for full health coverage for a family.I believe in a double health-care plan in which all working people who have an income above poverty level should get their own policies. And yet I believe that each state should try to have a limited health-care plan for all under the poverty level and for the unemployed.
Each state could add a 2-cents sales tax and limit each needy one to their share of the tax for doctor bills, medicine, hospital bills and dental care. It would add jobs without taking away any jobs.
Politicians should care about everyone. JIMMY MABRY PULASKI
