MONTGOMERY DEMOCRATS MEET MARCH 13
The Montgomery County Democratic Party will hold a mass meeting March 13 at noon to elect delegates to the 9th District and state Democratic conventions.
Any registered voter of Montgomery County who supports Democratic candidates is eligible to participate in the meeting.
Participants will pick 36 delegates and 18 alternates. Those who are eligible to become delegates or alternates already have filed forms and fees with the Montgomery County Democratic Party.
The 9th District convention will be held at Patrick Henry High School in Emory on April 17 to nominate members for the state central committee.
The state convention will be held on May 7-8 at the Richmond Centre to nominate candidates for governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general. Delegates also will pick state party officers and members of the state central committee.
