OBIT HALE, KELLY S.
HALE, Kelly S., 78, of Roanoke, died Saturday, March 6, 1993. He was
retired from Ideal Laundry and Dry Cleaners, Airlee Cleaners and Vinton Dry
Cleaners with 50 years combined service and was a member of Waverly Place
Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Comena Witt Hale; a son
and daughter-in-law, James W. and Delia G. Hale, San Angelo, Texas; two
daughters and sons-in-law, Janet H. and Dr. Frank R. Campbell, Danville,
Connie H. and Donald R. Stanley Jr., Vinton; six grandchildren; three
stepgrandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three brothers, Jesse J. Hale,
Roanoke, John E. Hale, Roy P. Hale, both of Speedwell; a sister, Mary H.
McAllister, Wytheville. Funeral services will be held at Oakey's Vinton Chapel
Tuesday, March 9, 11 a.m. with the Rev. Charles Hoffler officiating. Interment
in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests
memorials to Waverly Place Baptist Church in his memory. The family will
receive friends Monday, 7 to 9 p.m. at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
