RADFORD UNBEATEN IN COLLEGE BASEBALL
Freshman third baseman Rob McCandless drove in four runs Monday to pace Radford to a 13-3 college baseball victory over Juniata (Pa.) College at Dedmon Center Park.McCandless was 4-for-5 as the Highlanders (4-0) equaled the best start in the nine-year history of the baseball program.
Galen Heidrick belted a two-run home run in the third inning and freshman shortstop Aaron Pasko had three of Radford's 16 hits.
Freshman Mark Walker was the winning pitcher, allowing two earned runs and striking out six in eight innings. - Staff report
