CHILDREN ATTACKED NEAR SCHOOL

Several fifth-graders said they were attacked Tuesday by a man wearing a ski mask when they wandered into woods near a school playground.

Northumberland County's acting school superintendent, Mitchell Stables, said their accounts were consistent and he was convinced they were telling the truth.

Police dogs and air units searched the woods near Callao Elementary School for three hours.
