LESS THAN ETERNAL VIGILANCE
THIS IS TO all those hunters and gun enthusiasts out there who were too lazy, uninformed, unconcerned or just too irresponsible to write their state representatives and local newspapers voicing opposition to further gun control laws:Well, folks, you got what you deserved. The price of freedom is eternal vigilance, and you weren't willing to pay the price.
You sat back and depended on the National Rifle Association, Gun Owners of America, and The Second Amendment Foundation to fight the battle for you.
You said nothing when the media smeared these fine organizations. You did not speak up when they said that the majority of Virginia citizens had been polled as being in favor of gun control. You did nothing to help those of us who care, who invest time and hard-earned dollars in defense of your rights.
We fought the best fight we could, but we could not win without your help. Shame on you all! LARRY E. COE ROANOKE
